looking for a easy fix short of welding the crack in my new headers.
crack is on the #1 primary tube inside the flange. very small crack but noticeable "tick" while idling. any good stuff for a temp repair until i get that side off this winter and weld it properly?

I'd say JB weld, but it's only rated to be good to 500F.

my header cracked at the #1 and #8 head flange.
A guy at the track gave me some of this stuff to make a temp repair last year. http://www.caswellplating.com/aids/pyro.htm I forgotten all about welding the flanges and realized i been driving all over the place and doing launches etc. Man this stuff works great! if you got ceramic headers it dries to the same color and shade? ( my header is dirty in pic) I saw the guy yesterday and told him how great it is. he also uses it to repair pitted ceramic headers. ![]()

Nope. Always broke header bolts, tore holes in the collectors, and header gaskets but never cracked one or a weld.. looks cool! Have to remember that!
