Going to tub the camaro and I was thinking that if I removed the top, it might be easier. Any tips on how to do it? I haven't removed one before. I was thinking about installing a new one while it was off. Do I need any special tools?
TIA.

C'mon Nick, where are you? I know you have a vert. You should know the answer to this easy question. I havent looked to hard at that area on my car and was just wondering about it before I get started on the project. I would go look but it's been raining to darn hard.

Jinx,
Sorry I can't really say. My wifes 68 vert is the first one we have ever owned & I haven't done much with it yet. Now any questions on a coupe I can most likely answer, I have had more than one of those apart over the years. ![]() ![]()

Thought I would post up now I have removed the top. IT was stupid easy. There is a row of small bolts along the face of the trunk and you remove a few from each side on the lift arm to remove it. I took the whole top off with the lift bars attached. Just remember to keep the bushings and nut attached to your lift arms for later.
