Default mouldings

Wont be long and the car will be painted and it will be time for me to put the mouldings back on. the lower rocker panel mouldings on my R/S are in pretty por shape, and was wondering if they can be buffed back into shape and if so with what type of cleaner.

Thanks RAT I can always count on you for an answer, I will post some new pics the first of next week. Getting the car back from the body shopthis coming weekend, ended up doing both rear quarters instead of just the right. Those spider cracks I had ask about were because of about 2inches of body filler over a bad repair from the previous owner.
thanks again

depending on how bad they are you can use metal polish but for deep scratches etc.you can use a buff with stainless polish stick.
attach to your drill in a vice and buff away.
mine came out with a mirror polish and took out all the scratches.
I found the wheel and arbor and polish at ace hardware for 20 bucks.
did my window trim aswell.
only thing that i noticed that isnt stainless is the vertical trim on the rear quarter glass. (its chrome)

I always had luck with double 00 steel wool. Its very fine and does not scratch a bit. I use it on about everything chrome, bumpers, and anything with tarnish or surface rust. It does the trick.

Never dull works pretty well too.
